Dress Code
Sometimes students will make it through their day without being addressed on a clothing item, but that does not guarantee it meets dress code; it may be that an adult just didn't notice the garment due to the student sitting behind a desk, being blocked by a crowd of people in the hallway, etc. Please double-check with your child next week to make sure that everyone keeps in compliance throughout the end of year.
Full details on the dress code can be found in the student handbook.

ISTEP Prep
From the Indiana Department of Education:
Beginning in 2016-17, the ISTEP+ Grade 10 English/Language Arts and Mathematics tests replace the End of Course Assessments in Algebra I and English 10 as the graduation requirement for the class of 2019 and 2020. Every Indiana student in the graduating class of 2019 and beyond must demonstrate mastery of the Indiana Academic Standards measured by the ISTEP+ Grade 10 English/Language Arts and Mathematics assessments. The ISTEP+ Grade 10 Math Assessment is based on standards adopted in 2014; the Grade 10 English Assessment is based on standards adopted in 2014.
General Testing Information:
Ø ALL 10th graders will take the English and Math tests this year
Ø ALL 9th graders will take the Math test this year (instead of their 10th grade year)
Testing Windows:
Ø Applied Skills Portions of English and Math: February 26th-March 9th
Ø Multiple Choice Portions of English and Math: April 16th-May 4th
Brownsburg High School Preparations:
Ø English and Math teachers will provide in-class test preparation lessons throughout the year for all students taking an ISTEP test. This is in addition to regular course curriculum.
Ø As students show that they need additional support on key standards and skills, math and English teachers may assign at-home, online practice for students to complete.
Report Card Schedule
The end of the nine weeks will be September 29th, and report cards will be available October 6th.
Cell phones
Please keep in mind that students are NOT allowed to use cell phones during the school day. Students who receive text messages from mom or dad should – in actuality – not receive those messages until lunch or the end of the day. It is also possible that the phone will be confiscated. If you need to get a message to your child prior to the end of the day, please call the team office. If your child needs to contact you, we will help them do that as well.
CHAIN Link
CHAIN Link would like to remind students that there is a Remind101 account for each grade level to keep students up to date on events that pertain to their class.
