Progress Delayed Is Not Progress Denied! April 1, 2018
Our Best Year Ever!
Learning from Experience!
You have a clean slate every day you wake up. You have a chance every single morning to make that change and be the person you want to be. You just have to decide to do it. Decide today’s the day. Say it: This is going to be my day.”
2017-18 Goals
- Learn, embrace, and live the OCS mission, vision, and values!
- Improve communication between administration, staff, and parents.
- Cultivate a climate where we support each other's efforts, ideas, and hard work while holding each other accountable for continued program excellence.
Improve our implementation of language, literacy and communication skills to ensure every 3rd-grade student is reading at or above grade level.
Reminder if you have not set up an appointment to discuss 17-18 goals, please call Cindy to be added to my calendar. Please have your goal sheet filled out and emailed to washea.jackson@oxfordschools.org; before our meeting.

Seclusion and Restraints
Effective this 2017-2018 school year, it is a requirement that public school employees who work with and come in contact with students receive an awareness level training on Michigan’s laws regarding the use of emergency seclusion and restraint. Please note, the law states that seclusion is never allowable with preschool-age students.
There are 2 free awareness level trainings that meet the requirement established by the Michigan Department of Education:
- 30-minutes video you can facilitate at a staff meeting: http://mymassp.com/files/Emergency_Use_of_Seclusion_and_Restraint_Awareness_Training_With_Processing_30mins.mp4
