Background
Demeter Can Resupply Forests
In the article, Over Half of the World's Tropical Forests Have Been Destroyed it states, “Deforestation and forest degradation are one of the biggest threats to forests worldwide and, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), in the last 60 years, over half of the tropical forests worldwide have been destroyed."
This shows over half of the tropical forests worldwide have been destroyed in the last 60 years, but with the presence of Demeter, she can resupply the missing forests.
Demeter Will Protect All Wildlife
In the article, Deforestation and Forest Degradation it states, “Eighty percent of the world's land-based species, such as elephants and rhinos, live in forests.”
This proves that Demeter would be the only goddess who could prevent deforestation. Demeter will protect all wildlife because of the fact that more than three fourths of the world’s land species reside in forests.
New Plants Can Grow
The article, Demeter states, “When Demeter was without her daughter, then the earth was barren. When Persephone rejoined her mother, plants could grow..”
This implies how much Demeter loves her daughter. Her love for her daughter is the same for nature. Now that she lives with her daughter, new crops can replace the lost plants resulting from deforestation.
