WALK WITH A CELEBRITY ON OCTOBER 4th - RAFFLE TICKETS ON SALE STARTING MONDAY
THURSDAY - 5th/6th GRADE SUCKER SALE - After School - $1.00
Our 5th/6th graders are in their final year at Richmond. They will be having some great final year t-shirts created and will be having some events that will make for an incredible end to the year. The students will also have the chance to give a legacy gift to Richmond. To help with the cost of everything, our 5th/6th grade students hold a sucker sale once per month.
Suckers will be sold in front of the office for 15 minutes after school. Each sucker is $1.00. 100% of the proceeds will go back to the 5th/6th grade account.
FRIDAY - DRESS LIKE A CELEBRITY/FAMOUS PERSON
Our Richmond Student Council came together this week. They wanted to add a little fun to the start of the year. Next Friday will be our first dress up day. Pull out your jerseys, your dresses, or any other costume to dress up. Obviously not required, but it could be fun! 😀

5K-2 LITERACY SCREENER
All kingergarten through second grade students will be given a literacy screener. A state law has been passed requiring all students to take a universal screener to help identify students who need extra help with phonics/phonemic awareness. OCTOBER 4th - Walk Your Child to School Day at Richmond
We invite you to join your child in walking to school to celebrate healthy lifestyles, practice safe walking routes, and enjoy the fresh air.
We encourage all Richmond students to wear school apparel to show school spirit! Red Day!
Parents, adults and students walking together may have their picture taken on the Richmond playground during the event.
Our Fuel Up team will provide a healthy treat to all students at the “Walk Your Child to School Day” table.
Students can sign up for free raffles prizes that will be handed out at the end of the day.
Everything takes place before school. We will have a little music. We will hang out with the "celebrities . It is just a fun little pre-school celebration of biking to school.
2nd - 6th Grade Student Permission Forms for October 3rd Field Trip
All 2nd through 6th grade students have been invited to a mini-Packer camp experience at Title Town field in Green Bay. Students will be participating in 5 different football stations on the field.The Packers require an electronic permission/waiver from families before students can attend. Your teachers may have sent this to you already. Please click on the link below to complete this for each child.
VOLUNTEER - Need One More Volunteer for Packer Experience
We are looking for 12 volunteers who can meet the staff at the field by 8:30am on Oct 3rd to help set up stations and learn how to run them. The event goes from 8:30 am to 12pm. You will need to provide your own transportation to the Titletown field.
TOUGH KID CHALLENGE
Saturday, October 7, 2023 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Highlands Elementary School
Fox Valley Tough Kid Challenge (TKC) is an obstacle course event and fundraiser for the Appleton Area School District’s physical education department featuring kid-friendly yet challenging obstacles.
It features a 1.55-mile course and 30 obstacles that challenge the agility and strength of our participants. This year the course has a few new twists and turns!
This event is for all kids ages 5 through 13 years of age. Participants will travel through the course in spaced intervals to allow for flexibility in family schedules and maximum participation throughout the entire event. Participants will receive an event T-shirt and a medal.
Cost: $15 per participant
After September 30th, the cost will increase to $20 per participant.

Last year the course was 1.55 miles and featured 30 obstacles that challenged the agility and strength of our participants. We need volunteers to help pull off this great event. LUNCH AND BREAKFAST MENUS
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS AT RICHMOND
This is a reminder that all students get free lunch and breakfast at Richmond. Breakfast will be served in the classroom. Students are not required to take it. If a student wants only a milk for lunch, your student would need money on their account. The cost is $0.40 per milk.
