From the Principal:

What a great start to the 2017-2018 school year! Thank you for helping us make the first five days amazing! We appreciate your patience as we worked through the bumps and kinks of dismissal. Our new plan is flowing really well, and we hope it will continue to do so for the school year.

Don't forget that we have started our Big Kahuna fundraiser! Thank you for your help in raising money for our school.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay updated on all that happens at Life School Red Oak. Sign up for our campus Remind, if you haven't done that yet.

Let's continue to work together to make this the best year yet!

Student Attendance Incentives

This year, we will be offering some various student attendance incentives for those students who have perfect attendance throughout the year. This will be similar to the Chrome Book attendance incentive that we offered at the end of the last school year. Look for more information next week on the first six week's student attendance incentive! It's going to be great!

Mustang of the Month

This year, we will be awarding two students (K-3 and 4-6) each month with our Mustang of the Month award. They will be featured on morning announcements and in our Thursday Exchange newsletter. Each student will also receive a very cool Mustang of the Month yard sign which can be displayed in your yard to show everyone that your child is our Mustang of the Month! Staff will be looking for students that display excellence in academics, character, and leadership to nominate for Mustang of the Month. Stay tuned for our first September winners!

From Our Counselor:

Hello Parents! I am so excited to be a part of the Life School this year as the campus counselor! We will be using the 7 habits of Happy Kids this school year to help your student be ready to learn, to lead, and ready for life. For the next five weeks we will focus on habit 1 which is being PROACTIVE! Being proactive means you're in charge of you! You are a responsible person. You take initiative. You choose your actions, attitudes, and moods. You do not blame others for your wrong actions. You do the right thing without being asked, even when no one is looking. Kindergarten and first grade will receive lessons in their classroom from me while second through sixth grade will receive lessons from the specials teachers. Please talk about being proactive with your student at home!

You can view more information about the habits at:

Song about the habits:

I look forward to a great year!!
