Cell Phone and Gizmo Use
Families,
We are have issues with Gizmos and cell phones. We are asking students to please turn off these devices and put them in backpacks until the end of the school day. We know that these devices are important when students are traveling to and from school.
If your child is feeling ill please ask them to let the classroom teacher know. Their teacher will then send them to the nurses office to be evaluated. Our nurse will then contact you regarding your child. We are asking that students not contact you directly via Gizmo or cell phone. Thank you so much for your support regarding this manner.
Sincerely,
Jacque Wilson

Full Day Kindergarten
- Full-day Kindergarten not only boosts students' academic achievement, it also strengthens their social and emotional skills.
- Full-day Kindergarten offers twice as much instructional time to students increasing the opportunity for student-centered, creative activities and "guided play".
- Full-day Kindergarten provides more time for enrichment such as activity centers, academic group time and projects. Full-day Kindergarten allows for an increased opportunity to address student needs (academic, social, emotional, developmental, etc.); focusing on the development of the whole child not just academic readiness.
- Full-day Kindergarten reduces the probability that children will be retained in the early elementary grades.
- Full-day Kindergarten provides all students effective classroom instruction throughout the school day at NO COST, allowing for individual student needs to be met while preparing students to be "full-day ready" entering first grade.
West Ada schools are hosting in-person registration events throughout the month of April. Please refer to your home school's registration dates and times for an opportunity to meet teachers, explore the school and for students to participate in a required Kindergarten academic screener. Idaho state law requires students entering Kindergarten to be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022
Transportation at the End of the Day
If you are changing plans as to how your child is going home, please notify the office before 2:30. It is really busy at the end of the day and we want to make sure we are able to notify students of the changes. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
In District Transfers
If your child is attending Seven Oaks on an In-District transfer, you will need to reapply for the 2022-2023 school year. Forms may be turned in from March 1-June 1. Acceptance is based on space availability at each grade level. To obtain the form please go to the West Ada School District website. You will find the form in the Parent and Students section under School Registrations. One form is needed for each child attending. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Is your child going to be absent?
Thank you so much for your cooperation.
