St. Luke Weekly Memo
April 19, 2021
Leadership Message
This week was like no other at St. Luke. Alberta Education made the official decision very quickly to move all St. Luke students to online learning from April 19 - April 30. This of course was a surprise to all but it was necessary, as our number one priority is to keep our students safe.
This again will be a transition for all our families. In January our transition to online learning was very successful and we know that we can be successful again as we work together to keep our students learning during this time. Staff were very busy on Friday making the initial preparations and on Monday all teachers will be contacting parents via email to ensure all students are prepared for learning on Tuesday.
As we continue to work through this challenging time our ability to adapt to the current situation is important. If your student is experiencing any difficulty during this time I ask that you reach out to the school as our team is very willing to assist our school community in any way possible.
We would all love to see how our students are “Choosing Joy” during this online learning experience. This is a very unique time we would love to capture it with pictures. If you take a picture of your child learning online please send it to myself at cathyhi@eics.ab.ca. I will put them into the SMORE next week.
Stay Safe Everyone!
