The Art of Arithmetic
Naples Parent Practicums
Need encouragement? Need ideas? Need practical tools for your homeschool journey? Parent Practicum is the place to be this summer! You'll find a community of local families, eager to explore the classical model of education and tools that make learning all subjects with all of your children satisfying.
June Facilitator: Heather Shirley
Heather, her husband Ed, and their three children have been involved with Classical Conversations since 2003. Heather began her Classical Conversations journey tutoring abecedarians with Leigh Bortins as her assigned mommy-helper. She has tutored every year since, and insists that CC tutoring has afforded her a real and robust education. Heather believes learning is for a lifetime, and inspires other parents across the nation to believe the same. Every year that Heather tutors Challenge, she insists that she learns something new and discovers wider relations of truth. Her learning motto for life is: “A learning life is a life in lessons on humility.”
July Facilitator: Lisa Perri
Lisa and her husband, Patrick, have homeschooled their three children classically for the past 13+ years. Their journey with Classical Conversations began in 2014 shortly after their move to Florida where Lisa has tutored Challenge II, III, and IV. Her favorite strand is, well, all of them! It’s sort of like asking, “Which one is your favorite child?” Lisa believes that Classical Conversations has been the best preparation for whatever vocational calling the Lord has purposed for her children and it has led them all to be lifelong lovers of learning.
Student Camps are only $49/child for all three days!
