Coaching for Impact
Regional Instructional Coaching Network
A guide to the RICN for Administrators
What is the Regional Instructional Coaching Network?
Print Resources: Each coach who is formally enrolled by their district will receive print resources by Jim Knight. Specifically, new coaches will receive a collection of books from SST9 during their first year of participation. Subsequently, these books serve as the foundation of our network, and will continue to be referenced and interwoven into myriad network conversations. This enables participants to speak a shared language while engaging in a common instructional coaching approach.

- Better Conversations/ Better Conversations Reflection Guide
Coaching Modules: Coaches will have access to self-paced modules about essential content such as The Impact Cycle, Better Conversations, and Focus on Teaching: Using Video for High Impact Instruction. Modules are currently under development, and they will be utilized to on-board new coaches while also providing veteran coaches with the opportunity to receive a refresher whenever the need arises.
Networking Opportunities: Coaches will have opportunities to network with other coaches via "Lunch and Learn" meetings. A short presentation from facilitators will be followed by more organic coaching conversations and problem-solving.
Regional Literacy Network: Coaches who support literacy instruction are invited to engage in the Regional Literacy Network as key stakeholders.
LiveBinder Resources: Coaches will have access to supporting resources via an archived Regional Instructional Coaching Network LiveBinder.
Instructional Coaching Toolkit: Coaches will have access to a virtual Instructional Coaching Toolkit. As we continue this work, we hope this resource will be collaboratively built and will serve as a "one stop shop" to save coaches valuable time and support implementation.
