Fall Food Drive
November 6th through November 26th
During the next several weeks, the Student Advisory Club and Ottobine Elementary School will be collecting canned, boxed, and/or bagged non-perishable food items for our fall food drive. We need your help! Food items can be brought to the gym. Canned soups, canned fruits or vegetables, peanut butter, cereal, and pasta or rice are most helpful. Snacks and “child friendly” items are also good ideas. Please do not send items that are in glass containers or have expired dates. All food items will be donated to families in need throughout our school and community. Thank you for thinking of others and helping us with this important event!

OTTER SPIRIT!!!!
From the Nurse........
- PLEASE do not to send your child to school until they are fever free for 24 hours WITHOUT a fever reducer. Please do not give your child Tylenol (acetaminophen), Advil (Ibuprofen, Motrin) and send them to school. The fever reducer only covers up the fever and your child can spread the illness to other students and staff. Being at home resting is best practice for someone who is sick.
- If your child has had vomiting or diarrhea through the night PLEASE keep them at home to rest and prevent the spread of illness.
- Please be aware that there have been several cases of Impetigo at Ottobine. Impetigo is a skin infection that is very contagious. Impetigo requires treatment with an oral antibiotic that must be prescribed by a physician. Symptoms of Impetigo are as follows: Red sores that rupture and ooze yellowish-brown and crust. Most sores occur around the nose and mouth. Please have your child evaluated and do not send them to school if you note any of these symptoms.
Thank you so much and if you have any questions please feel free to call the school nurse.
