North Glendale Family Update
April 25, 2021
Good morning!
As we continue on through 4th quarter, we are also deep into planning for NEXT year! While we certainly hope all of our NG kids are returning (except for our kiddos moving on to Nipher!) but if that is not the case, please let the front office know ASAP.
You can send an email to Mrs. Valle at margaret.valle@kirkwoodschools.org.
In recognition of Public School Volunteer Week, NG would like to say THANK YOU to the countless individuals who help make Kirkwood schools great by your powerful contributions for school and at home to support student success.
Have a great week and be sure to reach out with any questions or conversation!

More Planning for Next Year
As we plan for next school year, we need feedback from our K-8 families by Monday, April 26.
What we know about next year - K-12:
It is reasonable to expect all K-12 students will have full-day options for in-person learning, Monday through Friday, starting on August 24.
While older students will have opportunities to be vaccinated by August, this may not include middle schoolers and will likely not yet extend to students in elementary school.
Many of our safety mitigation strategies will likely remain in place, at least for the first part of the year, including the use of face coverings.
Most students and some staff members will still be subject to contact tracing and possible quarantine, although it is difficult to project what guidelines may be in place by August
Options for online learning will be available through MOCAP legislation, as they were prior to the pandemic. While some online options may include Kirkwood teachers and curriculum, we cannot guarantee this for specific grade levels or courses at this time.
At this time, we are asking K-8 families who have a student who will be in K-8 grade during the 2021-22 school year to please complete the survey sharing your preferences per your child. If your learning preferences are different for multiple K-8 students, you may complete a survey for each child. Please complete this survey by Monday, April 26, 2021, at 8 am. The survey can also be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KSDplanning421.
The high school administration will send a separate survey for 9-12 students in the near future. Families with a child who will be in 9-12 grade during the 2021-22 school year do not need to complete this survey for their 9-12 grade student.
Allergy Season!
Allergies are for sure a nuisance ~ I get it! However, we cannot accommodate requests to keep kids in for recess due to allergies. We do not have consistent supervision and also no space!
Reminder: please limit checking your student out of school early.

Annual Update for 2021-2022: NG only has 6% complete!
On Saturday, in the KSD eSpotlight, we shared that the annual update process is starting for the 2021-22 school year. This annual update process is necessary to ensure we have accurate important student information, such as addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, and medical needs. Whether your child is learning in person, or at home, this information is very important. We are committed to your child's health and safety, but we need your help.
Please take a moment to complete the Annual Update of Medical Information. This critical and confidential health information will enable us to provide the safest and most individualized care to our students. Together, we can help manage your child's chronic health conditions and help them stay safe and healthy at school.
This is information for the 21-22 school year and parents are required to complete it through Infinite Campus. Please note that if you have a change of address from last school year, you must upload new proofs of residency. You will not be able to progress beyond the first screen if you do not have the two proofs of residency available for submission.
If you know your Infinite Campus login, information please do the following:
