Box Tops for Education
Please continue clipping those box tops, downloading the Box Top app and scanning receipts, and mark your calendars for our Winter Box Tops collection January 27-31. The classroom in each grade that collects the most box tops will receive packs of gum! Students should please turn Box Tops in to their homeroom teachers. With the new box top labels, receipts must be scanned to the app within two weeks of completing the purchase in order to be counted. When scanning, push the credit tab at the bottom of the screen and enter your child's homeroom teacher's name/color of wing. This will credit your child's contribution to the classroom/wing count. Boost your collection by recruiting extended family and family friends to donate their box tops and credit their scanned receipts to your student's classroom/wing. Every little bit adds up and helps support your school.
From our Nurse
Attention: Parents of 6th Grade Students
Two immunizations are required by the state of Ohio (ORC 3313.67) before the start of 7th grade. Tdap (tetanus, diptheria, and pertussis booster) and Meningitis (MCV4). Your child may already have had them at their 11 year old check up. If so please obtain a copy of those immunizations. If not, please make an appointment for your students to get these two immunizations. Once you have obtained copies of TDAP and MCV4, send them to Laurie Dobrowolski RN at E.H. Greene Intermediate School. Thank you!

And, more from our Nurse
Runny noses, coughs and sore throats are upon us. If your child has a fever (greater than 100.4), please keep them home. They can return to school after 24 hours of being fever free.
Tips for keeping your child comfortable at school when they have a cold.
Send them with a water bottle, hydration is essential and provides relief of cough or sore throat.
Get plenty of rest especially while not feeling well (9-12 hours).
Eat a balanced diet.
Use medications as directed from physician before they come to school.
If they are in need of a medication or cough drops at school, please fill out the medication administration form and have you and your physician sign it.
As always, handwashing is key to combat the spread of many illnesses.
