I am excited to share some positive news on the attendance front! Since beginning our collective efforts to improve our regular attender rates in Janurary, we have seen an almost 9% jump school-wide. Thank you for all of your support to make this growth happen. It is truly a team effort. Below you will find specific grade-level rates:

3rd- 69%

4th- 61%

5th- 65%

Finally, I hope that everyone can make it to our Dia del Nino celebration coming on next Thursday, April 27th. This is a longstanding tradition at TES and is always a really fun night for our families. This year, in partnership with our awesome PTA, we will be hosting the event at Science Works in Ashland. See the attached flyer below for specific details. We cannot wait to celebrate our children with you!

With love,

Get Ready for the Jog-A-Thon

Soon we will send home pledge envelopes for our Jog-A-Thon taking place Friday, May 19th. Our PTA has a fun day planned for the students and this year's funds will be dedicated towards a new electronic reader board at TES. Watch for those pledge envelopes and help us reach our goal.

~ Our OBOB team, The Book Bandits, showed a strong effort at the state championship in Salem on April, 15th. Olive Chambers, Melah Meeker, Piper Acord and Molly McCormick competed against schools from all over Oregon, we couldn't be more proud of this group of 4th and 5th graders. Keep Reading!

~ Wow! Sixteen students from TES submitted recipes for the Future Chef Competition. The following were invited to compete at the cooking showdown on April 10th at PHS: Felix Springer, Zanye Shinkle, Rosie Harvey and Paisely Hurd and our own Ms. Lowe even helped judge the competition. Thank you to all the kiddos who participated, we hope you keep building your culinary skills.
