Dear Valhalla Community,
Can you believe we only have 12 more days together this year? We are working so hard to make it count! We appreciate all of the proactive communication and continuous support!
We had so much fun last week at our extra special events incuding the volunteer tea, our last VPFA meeting of the year, the concert, Pastries with Pappas, and Multicultural Night! Thank you for your support, hours of volunteering and community building! Please check out our pictures of how much fun we had !
We are very excited for all of our upcoming events including: Open House with Kona Ice, 5th grade celebration, & the last day of school with Mr. Softee! Can't wait to see you there!
Sincerely,
Miss Pappas π
Watercress - Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month:
Thank you Mrs. Neyes for ordering our new book of the month!
Andrea Wang tells a moving autobiographical story of a child of immigrants discovering and connecting with her heritage, illustrated by award winning author and artist Jason Chin, working in an entirely new style, inspired by Chinese painting techniques. An author's note in the back shares Andrea's childhood experience with her parents.
Thank a teacher!

Dear Valhalla Community,
I wish I could take you all to Greece with me this summer! The next best thing is to meet me at the Oakland Greek Festival, May 20-22 ! There is lots of parking, delicious food and treats, vendors, live music and dancing! It is a great family outing. It's also very reasonably priced and the weather should be perfect! I will be in the Kafeneon (in the Cafe) all weekend! I hope to see you there!
