Sarah Ray, Assistant Principal at Wildlight Elementary, has been selected as a 2022 Florida Assistant Principal of the Year finalist!
D.A.R.E. Graduation
Wildlight Elementary 5th graders graduated from the DARE program. At the graduation ceremony, students heard from Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper, Yulee Middle School students, Peyton and Memphis, and Principal Amber Nicholas-Bovinette.
Bunny in Bryceville
An Easter Bunny visited Bryceville Elementary.
Virtual Reader
Mrs. Hartman's first-grade class at Yulee Primary participated in virtual reading and interactive games.
Hunting for a Match
Mrs. Buttler and Ms. Prestwood’s 2nd-grade classes at Bryceville Elementary participated in an Easter egg hunt matching addition problems, contractions, compound words, and rhyming words.
Driving Simulator
Officer Revels at Hilliard Middle-Senior High looks on as he coaches freshman Wyatt Ray through a driving simulation. The simulator, provided by Nassau County Sherriff's Office, will be circulating through Nassau County high schools, allowing students to practice driving in multiple situations and environments.
Peep Adoption
Mrs. Foose's Kindergarten Class from Yulee Primary had a Peep adoption day. The students chose their peep, then wrote to tell about their new adoptee. The students named their peeps and decided their age and what they liked to do.
Robotics
Hilliard Middle-Senior High School's Middle school Robotics Club hosted a "Bring a Friend" day to show off their robotics projects, experiment with STEM activities, and spread the love of STEM.
Way to Glow
Mrs. Ballard's Kindergarten class at Wildlight Elementary celebrated the end of SAT-10 testing with a WAY TO GLOW party! The students rotated in centers filled with glowing materials and games- highlighters, neon glow cups, and plenty of glow sticks!
The kids wrote glowing stories, learned about fireflies, and did math activities with Jenga & ring toss!
Card of Kindness
Students at Hilliard Middle-Senior High made a sign supporting the West Nassau High School student who lost his life. The Flag Football team took the sign to their game at WNHS and presented it to the team.
