HOMESTEAD BUCKET FILLERS
Overflowing Buckets
Dear Homestead Parents,
Welcome to our second newsletter of the year highlighting Homestead students' and staffs' efforts to not only fill buckets, but to overflow them! Read with pride what your children have been doing for others during the winter months. As always, thank you for being wonderful roll models.
Sincerely,
Dr. Suzanne Viscovich
Principal
KINDER-GARTEN BUCKET FILLER BOOKS In January, each kindergarten class partnered with a first- grade class to create kindergarten class books on How to be a Bucket Filler. Each kindergarten child's page will be announced during the morning announcements during the spring months now that the first- grade class books have all been shared. The children's ideas serve as daily reminder to be bucket fillers each and every day to one another. | VALENTINES DAY FOR VETS In February, the children participated in Valentines for Veterans, where each child expressed gratitude and appreciation for the service of these brave men and women. Local politicians delivered the students' creations. | BUDDY PROGRAM During indoor recess months, students come together to play games, while modeling and practicing being a good friend through turn taking, and cheering one another on. |
