Organization : Efficient writing has a clear beginning, middle, and end. The overall work is well organized and easy to follow.
Voice : The best writing reveals the writers voice and his or hers special voice.
Word Choice : Good writing contains strong words including specific nouns and verbs. Sentences vary in length and begin in a variety of ways.
Sentence Fluency : Effective writing flows smoothly from one sentence to the next. Sentences vary in length and begin in a variety of ways.
Conventions : Good writing is carefully edited to make sure it is easy to understand. The writing follows the rules for punctuation, grammar, and spelling.
A Better Understanding of the 6 traits
Ideas : When you are choosing a topic for your paragraph or essay make sure it is one that you like.
Organization : Make sure that when you are making your paragraph its not all over the place. Make it smooth and easy to follow.
Voice : When you are writing anything make sure your voice is heard. Its your writing, your paragraph, your piece of greatness.
Word Choice : When you write don't use the same word 15 times or 49 times or even 10 times. Use strong words and new words.
Sentence Fluency : When you write don't let your words be choppy, let them be slow and smooth.
Conventions : When you are writing make sure that you use commas, grammar, and correct spelling.
