Our Amazing Brain

Each Monday, we are showing a short video clip to help students understand their amazing brains! Check out our latest video and continue the conversation at home.
Amygdala - week 7

Mindful Minute

For our Mindful Minute, we have recently learned about how our feelings can be the same and different and how to show compassion toward others. Students learned that we can all get along even if we have different feelings about something. We can work through our difference by talking AND listening. We can consider someone else's perspective and try to understand what shapes their feelings. Even if we disagree, we can all work together to make a positive contribution in our school and our community.

Important Notes

Healthy Minds & Bodies Week: We had an amazing Healthy Minds & Bodies Day before fall break! Our students were so active throughout the day learning about their brains, their breathing, and their bodies. We also participated in our annual anti-bully presentation. More info about our school's anti-bully policy can be found on our school website in our Documents Library. With pledges still coming in, I cannot give you a total count on what has been raised, but I will update you in our next newsletter. Thank you for all the $$$ raised for PTO. Your support makes it possible to plan activities for our students and families!
