Soviet Union

The Bolsheviks led the Russian Revolution. There are 14 countries in the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was influenced by communism. They had trouble feeding people with the collective farms. The last president was Mikhail Gorbachev.

Trans-Siberian Railroad

The terrain made work slow. Random people were enlisted to build the railroads. The gauge or width is wider than any other country. Began to be built in 1891.

The main route was finished in 1916.

The landmass is about 6,000 miles from east to west. The Ural Mountains are relatively low. Tajikistan is isolated from Central Asia. Has very large plains called steppes. North Atlantic Drift warms the waters.
