STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

Ms. Wood's Social Studies Classes

This week in Ms. Wood's 8th grade Social Studies classes, students were learning about the Harlem Renaissance. Students went on a gallery walk of literature, music, and art in order to better understand the pride African Americans were expressing in their race during the 1920s.

Spanish Classes

Mrs. Dilks’ Hispanohablantes classes and Mrs. Ryan’s and Mrs. Chini’s Honors Spanish classes created collaborative murals to replicate a portrait of and works by Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. All Spanish classes have been learning about this famous artist to prepare for the Diego Rivera Traveling Art Exhibit that will be on display at Alder next week. We are so impressed by the students’ creativity!
