Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers - SHPE Scholarship!
SHPE Scholarship!
I am currently the Vice-President Internal of SHPE Houston Professional Chapter (SHPE = Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers), where our main goal is to help our greater Houston Hispanic community and promote STEM majors among our youth. We are a group of mentors, role models, and leaders in STEM and help with workshops and scholarship opportunities.
We are hosting a scholarship workshop this coming Thursday, October 27th at 7:00 pm virtually via Google Meets! This is open to ALL current high school and community college students (regardless of ethnicity) seeking to attend a 4-year institution and seek a STEM degree in Fall 2023. During this virtual workshop, we will show them how to apply to the ScholarSHPE program as well as tips/tricks to applying to scholarships in general. Scholarship range from $500 - $1000. Please share this among your students to take advantage of this great opportunity!
Link to join workshop: https://meet.google.com/zih-dkmf-vii. Virtual link and workshop flyer can also be found by visiting our SHPE Houston website (https://shpehouston.org/index.html).
More details as to where to apply will be shared during the workshop as well as I’ll be sending a follow-up email.
