RMS Wildcat Weekly
November 22, 2019 Information for our Families
First off, thank you to all our Wildcats for a great week! We have a lot to be grateful for at Roosevelt, and we are especially grateful for our wonderful students, staff, and families in our school community. We are grateful for the many students who were honored this morning as Wildcat Students of the Month. These students were nominated by their teachers for displaying the PAWS of the Month: Collaboration. We appreciate their great efforts as Wildcats! We are also grateful for the performers who so bravely and generously shared their talent at our Wildcats Got Talent Show last night! Our Choir Director Mrs. Inouye gave a fantastic performance of our National Anthem, and the many students who performed were amazing! We also want to thank Christy Nicholson, PTA volunteer, for her skillful organization of the whole event. Thank you and congratulations to all!
Please remember that there is no school next week. School will resume on Monday, December 2nd. We wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving and a relaxing break!
Winter Dance: Our next school dance will be held on Friday, December 13th from 3:15-5:15. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale Monday, December 2nd when we return from Thanksgiving break. Flyer The presale tickets will be $6 and tickets will be $8 the week of the dance. No tickets will be sold the day of the dance and tickets will not be sold at the door. The gates will open at 3:15 and lock at 3:45. No late entries will be admitted and no early pick-ups will be allowed. The gates will open for pick up at 5:15. Please be prepared to pick up your child promptly at 5:15. Please email email@example.com with any questions regarding the dance.
SAVE THE DATE! Our Winter Band Concert is Thursday, December 5th, at 7 pm in the MPR. The Vista High School Wind Symphony will be joining our RMS Band to share beautiful music with all of us. We hope you can make it! Mark your calendars now!
Attendance: Attendance is key to student success! Please encourage your student to attend school every day and arrive on time. Remember, absences must be cleared within 72 hours (3 school days) after student returns to school. We also appreciate when you schedule dental/doctor appointments outside of the school day to avoid instructional interruptions.
Safety Reminder: Parents, please remind your students to use the crosswalk when arriving or leaving school. The heavy traffic makes it unsafe for students because drivers may not see them as they cross the street.
Health office: Due to the continued warm weather, please send a refillable water bottle with your student daily. Thank you to all the parents/guardians who have been providing proof of updated immunizations.
