Free Online Tutoring: California Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced that every Californian can now access free online tutoring available 24/7 through a new initiative offering homework help in every K-12 subject. Real-time homework help is now available at this link City of Torrance Library Tutoring Help. You can use the online resource via smartphone, tablet or computer, so long as you're in the state of California.

iReady: Students will receive recognition for passing 10 Mypath lessons ( 5 in ELA and 5 in Math) a week. At the end of quarter 2, we will celebrate all students that pass a minimum of 50 lessons ( 25 ELA & 25 Math ). Please encourage your student(s) to use MyPath at home to support them with their learning. Lessons are between 15 to 30 minutes.

Student Shout Outs!

  • Mr. Hollon would like to send a shout out to Emma Tso, Eliza Velasco-Rojas, Kira Tumpap and Olivia Joacobsen for coming in to get extra help in finding the slope of a line between two points in math class.

  • Mrs. Beck would like to give a big high-five to her 8th grade students for rocking their Cardio Kickboxing routines! And congrats to the following students for being absolute standouts: Josh White, Kelly Oh, Emily Mizuno, Derek O'Neal, Shekhor Bhattacharya, Wali Baig, & Gisella Burri. Way to go!

  • Mrs. Balogun would like to give a Shout out to Liam Murphy for doing a great job Striving for Success. He is an extremely articulate student and does a great job advocating for himself. Way to go Liam!

  • Mr. Mitchell would like to send a shout out to the Richardson runners for encouraging each other and representing us so well at the race on Thursday. Thank you Ian Suk, Elizabeth Keelan, Serena Aoki, Mao Hori, Kanara Kumiji, Clara Gerlach, and Jasmine Eskander.

Richardson Music

Richardson Music is doing many amazing activities these days. Please come out and support the RMS Choir at the Torrance Memorial Festival of Trees on Dec. 1, 2022 at 5:30pm, and all Bands and the Choir at South HS in the PAC for the Winter Concert on Dec. 6, 2022 at 6:30pm.

If you want to help us out financially, visit our Music Booster Website to see how order Jamba Juice and Krispy Kreme BOGO cards. Music students are also selling See’s Candy through Nov. 30, so track one down to support students directly or you can order See’s Online with delivery directly to you.
