BAND BOOSTERS UPDATE

RHSBBA AT CITY COUNCIL MEETING

Our RHSBBA Co-President, Mr. Michael Dal Cerro, recently attended the Mayor and Council Meeting on August 31. (It was streamed over Facebook Live due to the City’s precautions with COVID-19.) Michael provided an update on M.A.R.C.H., our Spring fundraiser and the great success we had this year. We raised over $10,000 on Saturday, March 14. All of that money goes straight back into our band program to support our students!

M.A.R.C.H. — which stands for Musicians Acting with Responsibility, Compassion and Hard work — is an effort to bridge the gap between school funding for the band and the actual operating costs for the program.

For more info, click here: https://www.roswellband.com/band-boosters/

Mayor Henry thanked our organization for all that we do in our community. She and all of the City Council members gave our band members and booster club a huge round of applause!

Note: If you want to listen, just jump ahead to the 47:10 mark for Michael’s remarks and the 52:15 mark for remarks by the Mayor and City Council.
