This Week at Davidson (Sept. 17th through Sept. 21st)
Fall School Picture Day Held Thursday, September 20th
Important Dismissal Information
We appreciate your support and understanding of our dismissal procedures to ensure our Dragon’s safety each day. Please keep in mind the following information concerning dismissal:
We ask that you do not park along Winding Point or block the school crosswalks at any time. Parents picking up car riders must have the transportation page with their student’s campus assigned number(s) clearly displayed in the vehicle during pick up. We use a Google Document to input the student’s number. Teachers inside the building are monitoring numbers and direct students to a numbered dragon. The Car Rider Line STARTS at the entrance to Davidson Elementary on Pine Mill Ranch Drive. Only RIGHT hand turns can be made into the KDE entrance at the start of the car rider line. Remain in your vehicle and in your assigned line. A sign will show- RIGHT or LEFT. Do not line jump into the shorter line. Your child will not be at the assigned number if you are not in your assigned lane. Staff members will be outside to assist you with pick up procedures. If your child does not come out to their dragon number, you will be asked to park, and we will walk your child to your car. You need to be in line no later than 3:45 in order to pick up your child in the line. After we are no longer taking numbers, you will need to park your car, walk into the building, and sign out your child.
Students and parents needing to cross the street should do so at the crosswalk with the crossing guard.
In the case that severe weather is called, our car rider line is condensed to only one line for safety. This does cause the car rider dismissal to take longer, so please be patient as we work to get all of our students loaded into their cars safely. If you need to change your child’s transportation for severe weather please contact your child’s teacher.
