Lady Vikings come in 7th of 27 teams at the Profit Temple invitational. Leading the Viking charge and bringing home some hardware was Sophie Seewald 12th of 173 and Hanna Simmons 15th of 173.
LVHS hosted our annual open house on Wednesday!

Picture Day Coming up!
Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will take their school pictures on September 21 and retakes will be November 14. Pictures packets will go home with students soon!
Parking Permits
LVHS will issue citations for any vehicle parked on campus that does not have a Parking Permit.
Parking permits are $35 and can be paid for online below. Students should complete the form (they can pick them up from the front office) and show payment confirmation in order to receive a permit.

Free and Reduced-Price Meal News
As a reminder, LVISD transitioned back to Free and Reduced-Price Meals for the 22-23 school year. The federal government is no longer funding the free lunch program, which was part of the COVID-19 pandemic aid package. All families are encouraged to fill out the Free and Reduced-Price Meals applications. If your child previously received free or reduced-priced meals, a new application must be received to determine if your child still qualifies. Previous free and reduced-meal eligibility has now expired. You can fill out the Free & Reduced Meal application online at MySchoolApps by clicking on the following link (available in multiple languages in top right corner):

Booster Club Corner
With the start of the school year, the LV Viking Booster Club has been busy! We have increased the size of our Board and have a record number of memberships and sponsorships, so we would like to thank the Viking Community for its support! Memberships and Sponsorships are available all year long, so please email lvvikingbooster@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Membership Pick-Up Night was a great success! The Booster Club Board and BC Members hung shout-out banners, unveiled new fan merchandise, and passed out membership items on Tuesday night. They also sold fan gear at the Middle School Meet the Teacher Night and High School Open House.
New for 2023-24 will be Members' Nights Out and other Booster Club Member engagement events. We will kick off our first event with a paint your own Viking or blank mug at Darling Art School on Saturday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m. Register at bit.ly/boostervikingmug
The LV Viking Booster Club is also working on updating our website, so be on the lookout for a new, user-friendly site in the coming weeks.

Whitney "HotShot" Vaughan-Christopher Memorial Scholarship Fund
Whitney’s dedication and commitment in LV sports awarded her Top Female Booster Scholarship. A shout-out banner is now hanging at the start of Victory Walk at the LVHS Football field to honor Whitney Vaughan-Christopher. Passion committed her to every Viking athlete through her Athletic Training at LV. With her family, we would like to continue her legacy and STAY STRONG.
