At THE Leadership Academy, we are committed to the social and emotional well being of all our students. As a staff we are committed to getting to know each student and their strengths. We love to learn what students are passionate about and we strive to form a positive relationship with each student.
We have a fantastic team to support our students and welcome your input. If you or your child ever have a concern about something, please contact us and let us know. We believe in open communication and know that we can only help if we know where the concerns are.

Book Fair is this week!
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. This event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.
After missing out on many beloved traditions, our fall Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome,
and safe event for our students.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place the week of December 6.
• Students will visit the Book Fair during their regularly scheduled library time (see below)
*You may send cash for payment in a labeled envelope to school
*Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital
account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and
others can contribute, too!
• If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. All
orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25.
Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and
We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the Book Fair. We look forward to seeing your child there!
Children with Cell Phones
We have an increasing number of students who have their own cell phones. Though phones can be handy for safety and communication, they can also be dangerous when your student views inappropriate material or uses the device to communicate in negative ways.
In order to protect your child and ensure their digital safety, consider monitoring your child's cell phone use. Teaching your child digital safety and monitoring them online can keep them safe and free from cyber bullying. We have reports that some students are on group text threads that alert at all hours of the night. Consider using the "do not disturb" feature, taking their phone overnight, or using parental controls to monitor their cell phone use.
We understand the need for a cell phone for safety reasons. If your child brings a phone to school, it must be powered off and given to the classroom teacher for safe keeping during the day. Each teacher has a designated location for storage and phones are returned at the end of the day. Cell phones should never be on or used during school hours. If your child needs to contact you during the school day, they may use a school phone.
