What is the Boundary Waters Canoe Area?
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) is a place where you can camp, canoe and have fun between one to ten days. Many people enjoy camping in the wilderness. You can pick any route to go that you want.
Where is the Boundary Waters Canoe Area?
The BWCA is located about 7 miles from Ely, Minnesota.
It extends 150 million miles next to the International Boundary. It has near 1200 canoe areas and 12 hiking trails with about 2000 campsites.
For any size of a canoeing group you can go in for the price of $38.00.

Why is it a Tourist Attraction?
The BWCA is a place where you can canoe, camp, and hang out in the middle of nowhere. There isn't many places like so people take the chance to go when they can. Another reason people like it there is because not many go at one time.
