August 2021
Community Club Needs YOU!
We want to make joining Community Club possible for as many folks as we can; we are looking for folks who are interested and enthusiastic about creating a sense of family at our school. This morning, I heard one of our teachers talking about the concept of "Ohana," which, in Hawaii, means extended family. Your Ohana can include family and friends; it is the social groups that are important to you.
We want to create a sense of Ohana at Hillside. More than ever, we need each other. Please consider attending our first Community Club meeting. We will meet on Thursday, August 26, at 6:00 p.m. in Hillside's Cafeteria. I am really looking forward to seeing many parents and guardians there.
We don't have any Community Club leadership yet; I am hopeful we will find a way to share the leadership this year. Thank you for considering. I think we could form a team to get this done!
See you August 26th.
