6th Six Weeks - Week 5 (May 14-18)

Students MUST get picked up ON TIME
$13 per student- Pay at the door; Cash only
RSVP by May 16th to me by signing the flyer I passed out
(Pays for all you can eat buffet, drinks, and $10 game card)
Student Safety: Students will be supervised at all times by Mrs. Lopez, Mrs. West, Mr. Ancelet,, Gattiland Staff, cameras, and an onsite Police Officer.
This is by no means mandatory. The event is open to the public as well- not just our school
SUMMER ORCHESTRA CAMP - SAVE THE DATE!
Dear orchestra parents and students,
This year's RRISD Summer Orchestra Camp will take place Monday, July 30th, through Wednesday, August 1st. Rehearsals will be held at Cedar Ridge High School from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PMdaily. We will have a camp concert on Wednesday, August 1st, at 7:00 PM in our beautiful new Cedar Ridge Performing Arts Center next to CRHS. All parents are invited to attend the concert!
The cost of camp this year is $30, and will include a camp t-shirt, all music, and bus transportation to CRHS from Deerpark MS each morning (8 AM) and afternoon (12:30 PM).
We are also excited to announce that camp will include an optional water park field trip to Typhoon Texas on Thursday, August 2nd. There is an additional fee for this field trip of $40.
Music will distributed in class before the end of the school year, and all students are encouraged to prepare their music prior to the start of camp.

We will need 6 parent chaperones ( 1 per room; please let me know if you can help! This is a fun hangout!!!!)
All students should bring drinks to share, cookies/chips to share. I will collect $1 per slice of pizza for students who would like me to order out for them.
SCHOOL-OWNED INSTRUMENT REPAIRS
A representative from Antonio Strad repair shop came to school today to assess instrument conditions on currently rented school-owned instruments. There are some students who are renting a school-owned instrument who left with a repair ticket because of either abnormal wear and tear or serious damages. I will email repair tickets individually. Cellos/Bassists who share instruments will divide up any costs evenly.
Please ask your child how their "inspection" came out after their instrument was assessed by our repairman.
Thank you for understanding and taking responsibility for these minor infractions. I tried really hard reminding the students to take care of the school-owned instruments daily and almost all of them did a great job!

May 25th - Optional event: Symphony/Phil Orchestra / Band / Choir
End of Year Party 4-7 pm; All students should bring drinks to share, and chips/cookies to share, I will collect $1 per pizza slice
