Patti Florian Enrichment Grant
If you are a Lakeshore student in any grade, kindergarten through high school, this grant may be of interest to you! By taking some time to prepare an application, you may receive funds to support your interests. The LEF does not consider grades and family economics in evaluating the application.
Patti Florian Student Enrichment Grants are awarded for activities or events that promote self-improvement through exploration, discovery, study and interaction. This could include, but is not limited to: workshops, retreats, camps or lessons, all of which could serve as a springboard to further exploration or mastery.
Patti Florian Student Enrichment Grants are intended to serve as a means of access to experiences and opportunities outside of ongoing lessons, team and school curriculum activities. Patti Florian Student Enrichment Grants support student enrichment and fund learning experiences; providing opportunities to expand awareness of student interests and curiosities.
PTO Corner
We have another teacher luncheon coming up for conferences on February 9th! Look for more information coming soon to sign up to help spoil our teachers!
If you are signed up to help with a Valentine’s Day party, please make sure you have a volunteer form on file with the school. Room parents should be reaching out to party volunteers soon with more information.
Mark your calendars for the next PTO community meeting! It is on Thursday, February 16th at 4:00pm. We love seeing as many faces as possible; our whole Stewart Family is invited! These meetings are a great way to meet other Stewart families and find out what’s happening in the school. Childcare will be provided, so bring the kiddos too. We are having this meeting right after school so skip the line and park for the meeting on the 16th! We hope to see you all there!
Other ways to help out the POP store include donating money to help stock the store and purchasing items off of the POP store Amazon wish list. A ‘frequently asked questions’ flier came home this week to help answer any questions you may have. We appreciate all of your help in making this such a positive & rewarding experience for our kids! If you have any questions regarding the POP store, please email stewartpopstore@gmail.com
Volunteers Needed!
The Stewart Elementary PTO still has many upcoming events, projects, and enrichment opportunities planned this school year and we need your help! Now is the time to connect with a PTO board member and pledge your support (it sounds life-altering, but volunteering at Stewart is so much fun!). Check out the highlights of some immediate volunteer opportunities that need a commitment in order to ensure that our students have the best elementary school
experience possible:
● Grade Level Breakfast
We are looking for a couple of volunteers to coordinate a breakfast for each grade level or maybe a parent volunteer from each grade who would like to coordinate the breakfast plans for your child's grade level. This is an opportunity for a child's VIPs to join them for breakfast at school and a great way to meet other parents!
FUNdraising
We have some FUN events happening this year! If you’re interested in volunteering with the PTO, please email us at hello@stewart-pto.com. For more information on the PTO and other helpful information, visit www.stewart-pto.com *We love to provide fun & enriching opportunities for our students. Please check out these two great options to donate in order to make those fun things happen:
Benefit App – By signing up for this app, you can purchase gift cards at your own convenience to pay at participating stores. You can even purchase and use it on the spot as you are checking out. The stores give back a percentage of your purchase to the school!
Amazon Smile – Every purchase you make via Amazon Smile for Stewart earns a percentage back to the school! You can even stack these earnings with the Benefit App by purchasing an Amazon gift card to use for your purchase. Search for Stewart Elementary PTO :)
Thank you for your continued support & dedication to the Stewart Family :-)
Share Your Stewart Family PRIDE!
SHOW YOUR PRIDE! SHARE YOUR STORY!
We are happy to introduce The Stewart Family PRIDE campaign. We invite you to let your favorite Stewart Family member know how much you appreciate them!
We are looking for stories that show our Stewart Family PRIDE- Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Empathy!
We are looking for stories about all education personnel – teachers, bus drivers, school lunch staff, paraprofessionals, custodians, librarians, administrative assistants and anyone who is an important part of a student’s educational success. The campaign's aim is to show the community why our staff members are so special and to recognize their unyielding support of our students. To do this, we need your help! Can you please share your story? IT'S ALWAYS A GREAT TIME TO THANK SOMEONE!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
To share your story about a Stewart Family educator that has made a lasting impact on a student, please SUBMIT YOUR STORY.
All stories will be evaluated to ensure they meet campaign standards. More information may be requested if your story is selected for publication. Photo releases must be on file for story participants.
HOW IT WILL WORK
The Stewart Family will share those special interactions that illustrate the difference educators make in the lives of those whom they serve – students. Stories will be shared on social media, in our publications and through our local media outlets.
