  • Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island September 12-14, Nicole will be at the Horticulture, Landscape and Environmental Systems (HLES) Booth in the Nebraska Extension building on September 14th all day.
  • Fall Master Gardener Classes: September 19, October 3, & October 17.
  • Tree Planting workshop in Geneva at the Fillmore County Extension Office on September 28.

Summer Garden Problems

Gardens are really hitting their stride now. I have been eating cucumbers nearly every night and am planning to make salsa with my tomatoes and peppers soon. It is also at this time of the year when we start to see problems develop in our gardens. About Nicole

Nicole Stoner is the Horticulture Extension Educator located in Gage County, serving Southeast Nebraska. Nicole's focus areas include trees, shrubs, lawns, gardens, and insects. Nicole obtained her Master's Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for Horticulture with a minor in Insect Science, she also has Bachelor's Degrees from UNL in both areas. Nicole is also an ISA Certified Arborist and has her Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ).
