Weekly Recap
Hopefully this message finds you in good spirits. As we enter the holiday season, please know that we are thankful for you. We are also thankful for the amazing week that we experienced. We started the week off honoring our Veterans. Our scholars gave a powerful performance to honor Veterans, and we are grateful that members of the CHHS Red Army Band were able to assist. Monday continued with recognition as we celebrated our Junior Trustee, 5th grader Adela. She along with other scholars in the district are a part of the inaugural Junior Trustees, so we look forward to scholars having a voice and a seat at the table.
On Thursday, we were able to celebrate and share information with parents in honor of National Parent Involvement Day. Those able to attend were served pastries, went on a tour of the campus, and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner in the cafeteria. It was an informative, fun day. Throughout the week, scholars received information regarding Anti-Bullying Week, and they were able to dress up with the themes for each day.
We capped off the week with our monthly All Pro Dads Breakfast and Club Friday. Dads and scholars had a chance to eat breakfast and talk about things in which they are thankful. Scholars and club sponsors had fun AND learned during clubs.
Over the break, we encourage our scholars to continue reading for 15-20 minutes each night. In order to assist with this effort, we have a Read-a-Thon taking place. Share the following link with family/friends so that they can donate $15-20. The goal is for every scholar to have at least one individual contribute toward reading efforts. Funds raised will assist with scholar incentives and events:

When it comes to the Kids Heart Challenge, our scholars are ROCKING IT! Thank you for all of your hard work so far. Here’s the update that was provided to us:
- $1,050 raised for the Americans Heart Association online so far!
- 45 scholars taking challenges compared to 19 scholars last year – AMAZING!
- 4 scholars have earned over $100!!
All in all, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, and we look forward to our scholars returning on Monday, November 26.
When wondering about key dates, be sure to review The Lake Ridge Bridge and the calendar located on the campus's website. As events are scheduled, dates are updated so that you can have a place to reference.

Can we have 100 students signed up by the time we return from break?
If we have 100 students registered by Sunday, November 25th, any student registered with at least one online donation be entered to win a special PE Prize Pack from the American Heart Association!
