BW Update - May 25, 2022
Message from Ana C. Riley, Superintendent of Schools
Dear Bristol Warren Families,
As you may be aware, sadly another school shooting occurred in our country yesterday, this time at an elementary school in Texas. Our thoughts go out to all those affected by this tragic situation.
Please be advised that we have been in communication with the Bristol and Warren Police Departments, which are continuously and proactively taking steps to address school and community security in numerous ways. In addition to our School Resource Officers there will be increased police presence and visibility at our schools. In addition, as you know, the Bristol Warren Regional School District, the School Committee and both the Towns of Warren and Bristol are working collaboratively to ensure that all of our schools are equipped with high security locked entrances, video surveillance systems, active alert systems, and other facility enhancements around school safety.
If you or your child have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your building principal at any time. Counselors and support services staff are also available and on site at each school for your children to help with coping in this situation, or for any other need now or in the future.
With our children in mind,
Superintendent of Schools
