Last Week at SMGCS
Nolan Students Visit SMG
SMGCS alumni Trang, Emelia, Julianna, Andy, Brenden, Lauren and Javier (not pictured) joined morning car line Thursday to hand out tickets to Friday's NCHS football game at the Doskocil Stadium. What a pleasure to have them back on campus with us!

Thanks Again for a Great Taste of SMG!

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium
This week the children learned about the gesture used during the Epiclesis at Mass. They've pondered what this gesture might mean and will learn the words later in the school year. They've been given the task of "finding" the gesture while at Mass this Sunday.

Pre-K Owl Mosaics

Kindergarten
Room on the Broom considers questions about friendship, helping others, and teamwork. A witch and her cat fly around on a broom and the witch accidentally drops some of her things. Other animals on the ground return her items to her and ask for a ride on the broom. Kindergarten used sequencing skills to decorate the witch's broom.

1st Grade
After reading a book, students wrote reports and then decorated a pumpkin to represent the central character of the story.

2nd Grade - Charlotte's Web

3rd Grade
Third grade is using OSMO to help with writing creativity. Osmo makes hands-on learning games in which players use objects in the real world to interact with the digital world shown on their iPad.

4th Grade Science
Students constructed a replica of Mt. Shasta and drew a corresponding topographic map.
7th & 8th Religion

Battle of Lepanto Saber Competition
