Bridges Walkathon and Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Decorate a pumpkin at home and bring it to school on Friday, October 5th.
Please drop off pumpkins by 8:10a.m. in front of school. Pumpkins MUST go home at the end of the day.
Guest judges will award prizes!
Science and Nature Conference Information (Grades 3-5)
Parents of students in 3rd-5th grade wishing to have their children attend may register at the link below and will be responsible for getting their child to and from the event. Please let the office know if your child will be attending the conference and we will not mark them absent as they are attending an educational opportunity that we support.
FYI- SCSC does expect one adult chaperone per 10 students. That registration is free. If you would like other parents to know that you have registered your child and are registered as a chaperone and are willing to take and chaperone another child please let the office know. Leave your name and number as permission for us to connect a parent to you. Bridges staff is not responsible for registering or setting up carpool opportunities.

Homework and Academic Assistance
Mankato State University's College of Education is now offering Homework and Academic Assistance to students and parents K-12.
This is a FREE resource where we specialize in K-3 reading assistance, 5-12 math and science, and K-12 English. We also work with ELL and can provide limited language assistance based on specific needs.
Our hours are Monday-Thursday 4:00-9:00 PM. With weekend hours being 12:00-4:00 PM (Saturday & Sunday) beginning October 1st.
We are located at the Mankato State University Memorial Library Lower Level near the Educational Resource Center (ERC)

Morning Arrival:
Business hours for parents are 8:15-2:15 with the back parking lot and security entrance available right off the parking lot, door 3. Students arriving between 7:45 and 8:10 will be allowed in the front entrance, door 1, at 8:00am. Supervision is provided on the playground from 7:45-8:00. Please keep school arrival to 7:45a.m. Students may not be dropped off without parent supervision prior to 7:45. School start time is 8:00a.m. - 8:10a.m. Door 1 off Garfield Avenue is open 8:00a.m. - 8:10a.m. Students arriving after 8:10 should enter off the parking lot with a parent and sign in at the office. Drop off in the morning can be done on Garfield Ave. avoiding the bus drop off area for incoming buses. Thank you! Your children’s safety is important to us.
Breakfast:
Students arriving for breakfast should enter door 2 off the playground between 7:45-8:00. All kindergarten students are offered a free breakfast if you would like. Students can stay for breakfast in the cafeteria until 8:00 and then head up to class for the day.
Early Bus Arrival:
We do have one or two buses that arrive prior to 7:45 every morning. Please have your children who ride the early bus enter through Door #1 and go to the office. At 7:45 they can go to the lunchroom for breakfast or they can go to the playground.
Late Start Days:
Illness:
If your child has had a fever or has been vomiting, we ask that you keep them home 24 hours after symptoms are gone without medication. Please call the school office attendance line: 207-5204 if your child is ill. If you let your child’s teacher know through email, please email Tammy Hayes as well at thayes1@isd77.k12.mn.us
Head Lice: Please report so the office is aware of it. District Policy states parents are notified if three cases are in one classroom. A request to treat is made by the school nurse. Parents are not mandated to pull their child from school for treatment but it will be advised.Lunch:
Parents are welcome to eat lunch at any time. Please let the office know by 9:00a.m. on the day that you plan to eat. Lunch for parents and visitors is $3.75. We do not have any cash in the office so please bring correct change. Parents and siblings may not use student pin numbers.
