Message from the Principal

On Friday we hosted our first dance in three years. Thank you so much to our parent and staff volunteers who made the evening one the students will never forget! If you think about it, these 8th grade students started their middle school careers learning from home, and it was slowly that we have tried to transition to normalcy. Friday night's dance hopefully felt a little of a reparation for our students who have endured so much and have been amazing through it!

As we head into this week, Tuesday and Wednesday will be heavy with 8th grade preparing for Wednesday night's graduation. We ask that students fully engage with practices to ensure the ceremony goes well.

Starting Wednesday afternoon, our current 7th graders will get a chance to be the oldest on campus. We will have a ton of staff organized community builders and celebration to kick start their last year at Winston.

8th Grade Chromebook Collection

Dear 8th Grade Students and Parents,

As the end of the school year approaches, please begin making preparations to return the District 15 issued Chromebook and charger. These items will be collected on Tuesday, May 31st. Each of you will keep the protective case.

Please prepare for the Chromebook collection day in advance by:

  • Bringing your Chromebook to the Library if it is damaged or not working properly so that it can be evaluated and sent in for repairs;

  • Saving any material that you have created in your District 15 Google account that you would be interested in keeping on a personal flash drive or use Google Take Out.

  • Removing any stickers that you have added to the Chromebook.

In the event that the Chromebook or charger has been damaged, you may be assessed a fee for repair or replacement.

If you were issued a hotspot, please bring the hotspot to return as well. Hotspots should be returned to the school. Hotspots will be deactivated and no longer work on June 6th, 2022.
