Mrs. Taormina's Message
Happy New Year, Oster families, and welcome to 2021! This past week was the beginning of the second half of the school year. The staff and I were excited to welcome students back to school, albeit not how we had hoped or planned. As the staff begins to think about the remainder of the school year, we remain focused on the students' health and well-being and providing an enriching distance learning experience for them with the idea to return to in-person learning in the near future.
Governor Newsom recently shared California’s Safe Schools for All Plan. I was pleased to hear the Governor and his administration are committed to providing as much support as possible to make in-person learning a priority and safe for students and staff. We will be watching how public health conditions evolve in the coming weeks and will update you as circumstances change. We are extremely proud of our students and families. We know how hard this is. With all of us continuing to work together, we can help slow the spread of the virus in our area and in California, creating the opportunity to get students back on campus.

Education Fund Update:
The winners of our second Education Fund contest were Ms. Blomseth and Ms. Hudson's classes! They will receive coupons for a free pizza at their next material pick up from their teachers.
The Education Fund is still open. Your direct donation, and any employer match, will help us pay for the student, school, and faculty programs that we have committed to for this school year. Since we fund about $250 per student each year, the suggested donation per student is $250. No matter what you donate, we encourage every family to participate in this critical fund drive.
