Greetings, CVE Families!
Next week will be the last week of school. While we all are excited about enjoying our summer with our families, we will miss seeing the kids' faces! We thank you for trusting us with your most prized possession. We hope we did not disappoint you and that your student shows academic and social growth this year. In this Cardinal Connections, you will find out about School Supplies and the school calendar for next year. Monday, June 13th, will be our final full day. Tuesday and Wednesday (6/14 & 6/15) are half days for us, which means dismissal will be at 11:55 am.
Wax Museum at CVE
CVE first Wax Museum. This will surely not be our last. We had such an enjoyable time. Parents came out in droves to show their support. Thank you all for taking part in being here. A special thanks go out to both Mrs. McDermott and Mrs. Phillips for their organization, participation, and excitement they brought into this for our students. Because of their high expectations and determination to succeed, our students experienced something they never had before.
Message from Mrs. Silver's Class
Thank you so much for the pizza! The kids were so excited to win the penny war and were even more excited for our pizza lunch this afternoon.
Message from Mrs. Hopersberger....

What's Happening in 5th Grade
Below are some pictures from our 5th-grade picnic earlier this week. Many families made donations to help it be successful, so I thought it would be nice to share the pictures of how it turned out.
What's Happening in Science with Ms. Laichalk...
Students are ending the year in Science by learning about flight. We led up to our final Engineering unit by learning and designing models that taught about gravity, air resistance, momentum, and energy. We used that knowledge to build our flight devices. Kindergarten through Third Grade created and flew different designs of kites, while Fourth and Fifth Grades created and launched different types of rockets.
I hope your students have enjoyed Science. I know I have! Have a safe and wonderful summer!
