Where are HAWKS expectations used?
EVERYWHERE AT HOOVER!
HAWKS consequences
- When we Have Respect for each other, people get along better.
- When we Act Responsibly, we are prepared for our day and ready to work.
- When we Work Together, everyone cooperates and feels like they belong.
- When we Keep Safe, no one worries about getting hurt or feeling bad.
- When we Strive for Excellence, everyone does their best and feels important and valued.
When students follow HAWKS expectations, they can earn HAWKS bills that can be used to buy stuff (school supplies, snacks), privileges, and fun activities at Hoover. Following HAWKS also demonstrates that you are a responsible student and earns you privileges in the classroom and in school. You will learn more about these at the "Positive Consequences" station.
When students choose not to follow HAWKS expectations, there are consequences for their choices. Students may have consequences in the classroom or in another room which require them to have conversations with a staff member about their choices. This could also lead to meetings with parents, detention or other consequences. You will learn more about these in the "Negative Consequences" station.
