The Northeast Region

The boundaries started from Pennsylvanian to Maine. The states/provinces are Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rode Island, and Maryland. Pennsylvania is beside Ohio, above west Virginia, and Maryland is above Virginia. The Appalachian Mountains run through these states and because of the Appalachian, it's difficult to farm. All of these states are near or right beside the Atlantic ocean.


The Northeast were among the thirteen original colonies. In the pat fishing was a very important part for the Northeast region. The Revolutionary war took place in the Northeast region against Britain. Back in the days some parts of the Northeast belonged to Great Britain. Some of the major acts were done in the Northeast.

Industries and Agriculture

As time move on until World War ll the Northeast's was mainly driven by industries. Now most the the location in the Northeast is used for trading with foreign countries. Most of the jobs are now done by machine that doesn't require a human. Fishing is one the major things people use to do for a living in the Northeast.

Culture/People/Politics/Education/Social issue

Most of the people in the Northeast are predominantly Roman Catholic. The Northeast has the largest concentration and percentage of Jews compared to any other states in the U.S.A. and it includes many other religion too. The Northeast is very diverse. Some important people that live in the Northeast are John F. Kennedy (35th president of the United states of America), Benjamin Franklin, and Will Smith. If you looked at the percentage of high school graduate the Northeast does have a very high percentage. every kid has the right to attend school no matter if your black, white, brown, pink, etc.The Northeastern United States tended to vote Republican in federal elections through the first half of the 20th century, but the region since the 1990's shifted to become the most Democratic in the nation.
