Hello Centerview Families,
Your kiddos bring so much energy and many smiles to Centerview Elementary each day. Their youthful enthusiasm for life and learning is contagious. It brings out the best in their friends and certainly our staff. Together, each day, we strive to instill and create an environment where students, staff, and families feel valued, inspired, and have that sense of belonging.
In this time of appreciation as we observe the national Thanksgiving holiday…that is what comes to mind for the Centerview staff and me. We appreciate our growing community and focus on learning and togetherness. Thank you, for preparing your kids, communicating with us and trusting our work together.
As we jump into the Thanksgiving holiday, there is no school tomorrow or Friday. Enjoy your long weekend – however you spend the time. We look forward to seeing students back at school on Monday, November 28.
When students arrive back, we’ll wrap up the first trimester on December 1. Then there is no school for students on Friday, December 2 or Monday, December 5. As shared at our Tuesday night PTO, staff will be collaborating, communicating and designing learning on each of those days. Please be planning for no school for your students on those days.
Come Monday, November 28…let’s keep the energy and smiles as students come skippin’ and runnin’ into Centerview. I look forward to each student’s arrival back!
Let’s be thankful! Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy,
Mike
Green Eggs and Ham performance
First graders got creative with their performance of Green Eggs and Ham! A valuable lesson in expressing yourself and working together to put on a show-stopping play.
From the health office:
Accidents happen regardless of age that require a change of clothes. Spilled food, nosebleeds and students unable to make it to the bathroom in time are just a few of the reasons our students need an extra outfit. We try to have a variety of sizes on hand to help get students back to class. Our Clothing Closet in the Health Office is always in need of gently used athletic pull on pants or leggings. Elastic waist clothing is preferred as it fits a variety of sizes and is free of snaps/buttons/zippers which can be difficult for some students. Donations are always welcome. Sizes 6T – big boys and girls. Send your donations to the office. Thank you!
