In addition, she is inviting guests into her classroom to share their favorite books with students. This week, Dr. Ryba visited to talk about a book he read over the summer. Click HERE for this week’s episode to hear more from Mrs. Ribblett’s class and the impact “SCS Mustang Reads” has already had on students at SHS.

MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. MONICA COONEY, KINDERGARTEN TEACHER AT KINSNER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mrs. Monica Cooney is teaching in the District where she grew up. A 2008 graduate of Strongsville High School, Mrs. Cooney is a kindergarten teacher at Kinsner Elementary School. She has worked for 6 years in our District and has also taught at Surrarrer, Drake, and Chapman Elementary Schools. She received her undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace and will soon begin her graduate degree work through Bowling Green State University.
“I love watching my students grow and mature so much from the beginning of the year to the end, and I love fostering my students' love of learning and independence,” says Mrs. Cooney.
She adds, “I love working at Kinsner because it truly is a home away from home. All of my colleagues are so helpful, collaborative, and loving, and the families at Kinsner genuinely care about their children's teachers!”
