From the Principal...Kristy McKnight
Earlier this week, District 303 lost a valuable member of our community when Dr. Bob Allison, Principal at Wild Rose, passed away. Dr. Allison was a member of District 303 for over 20 years. He served in many roles including Principal at Norton Creek, Assistant Superintendent, Director of Instruction, and he led as Wild Rose Principal twice. Dr. Allison was an amazing man, with a skill set that spanned all aspects of education. He was one of the most well-read people I have ever met and his love of books shined through in all aspects of his life. Many in our school community are feeling a deep sense of loss while also remembering his positive impact on our lives. For those of you who knew him, I want to express heartfelt condolences during this time. As Thanksgiving is approaching, I know that I will be giving thanks not only for knowing Bob, but also for this amazing community of which I am proud to be a part of.

A general donation box is located in the main lobby for new, unwrapped gifts for children ages newborn to 18 years. Please drop off items before the end of conferences on November 26th.
If you have any questions, please contact Ashley Holdsworth via email at aholdswo@gmail.com. This is a wonderful chance to help brighten the lives of others in our community and show students the magic of giving. Happy Holidays!

Ferson Frosty Fest
Our very first Ferson Frosty Fest is around the corner!
Wednesday, December 4, from 3 to 6 p.m., students, staff, families and friends are welcome to shop our local, handmade marketplace right here at school. 20 local vendors will be selling items including:
coffee mugs and tumblers, ornaments, coffee beans, salad dressings, knitted headbands and hats, hand-lettered signs and ornaments, kids' toys, candle holders, sensory bins, children's books, spice rubs, local honey jars and embroidered dish towels
All items are handmade and geared toward our audience of elementary shoppers looking to gift great things to their families and friends. Many items are $10 and under. We'll have shopping elf helpers (PTO volunteers) to help our younger shoppers shop without a parent beside them (keeping gifts a surprise!). Free gift wrap is available, provided by the PTO, as well as a free Make and Take provided by Gray Willows Farm. You'll also find a famous frozen princess hanging around with whom you can take photos for free, and a bountiful hot cocoa bar where you can get a cup and heap it with toppings for just $1 per cup. We're so looking forward to this first Frosty Fest; we hope you'll be able to come shop!
Volunteers are needed to make this event happen, click here to help.
