CELC News & Updates
Dear CELC Familles,
I hope you had a great weekend! Mrs. Irick and Miss A's class did a fantastic job at their performance on Friday. It is always a pleasure watching the students perform in our plays. The Tale of the Gingerbread Man play was a huge hit. I couldn't help myself from singing the songs. They even popped up in my head over the weekend! I hope the families enjoyed the performance as much as me. Thank you to the teachers and students for the hard work to make it a great event.
Could you and your family use a little help for the holidays? We have a few tickets left for the event on December 15th. We sent a message out earlier this week. If you missed the message, we were given tickets to a holiday event to help bring cheer to families in need. The event is on December 15th in Santee. It begins at 5:00 pm. If you are interested in attending with your family, please contact Stephanie Green at sgreen@alpineschools.net. It sounds like a wonderful event. I feel blessed to have been given these tickets to hand out. I shared them with the other AUSD sites as well so if you know someone at a different site, you can contact that school or let us know and we can assist. We will pass them out until we run out.
Here are a few updates to help keep you informed:
Now that the weather is cooling down, please make sure you send your student with a jacket daily
- For the safety and security of students and staff, gates are locked during school hours.
- Please use the front gate for entering and exiting the campus. the side gates are for employees only and must remain closed.
As a reminder, breakfast is served from 8:35 am to 8:55 am daily. It is free for all students. Parent may join their child at the tables.
Students are expected to follow school rules at all times. Please help support safe, responsible, and respectful behavior while you are on campus with them before and after school.
ATTENTION: If your student is going to be absent for an extended period, please make sure to request an Independent Study Contract from the office at least one week in advance. This will ensure that your child's teacher has ample time to prepare assignments, and your student can receive attendance credit during their absence.
For transportation questions, please visit AUSD's website at https://www.alpineschools.net/page/transportation
- Please see the message from our PTA below.
I hope you have a great week!
Sincerely,
Tamara Ripke, Proud Principal
