Responsibility - I am responsible for my thoughts, words and actions. I am accountable for my choices. People can depend on me to honor my commitments and follow through on my obligations.

Friendly Reminder: All students in grades 7-12 have laptop dues of $35 for the 2019-20 school year. Please pay in the library. Checks can be made out to GISD.

Reaching for Reading Goals

Third and forth graders are working towards the first nine weeks reading goals. After three points earned the student gets to pick a dog tag or charm bracelet, and after that, every chapter book test taken making 85-100 earns another tag or charm. (One bracelet & chain per nine weeks.) Every test taken with a grade of 85-100 also gets them a sticker on a chart. Fill the chart, pick a prize. PLUS, once goal is met, they get their name in a drawing for a cool outdoor yard game!

First and second graders have their own cool prize box to pick from after every three points earned. For these beginning readers it will be a slow start, but as their skills grow, so will their confidence!

Go Roaring Readers! You got this!

Keeping Safe

Safety drills are part of life as we know it. Because we fall back on what we know when in a crisis, these drills prepare students and teachers to handle situations to the best of their ability. As part of this, GISD participates in regular tornado, fire, lock in, and lock down drills. Your child's safety matters to us.

Nominations please!

Gifted and Talented (GT) nominations are being accepted through December 20, 2019. You can find the nomination form on the Granger ISD website.

*Remember to check school website and Dojo in case of any last minute changes due to situations beyond GISD control.
