Romeo & Juliet

Who Is Responsible
Because of the feud, the Montaques and the Capulets hated each other. The feud starts everything that happens in the story of Romeo and Juliet just by causing the two families to hate each other and fight each other. Mercutio tries to get Tybalt to fight him by saying, "And but one word with one of us? couple it with something; make it a word and a blow..."(Act III Scene I). Mercutio wanted to fight Tybalt because he insulted Romeo. Tybalt wanted to just talk to them so he could find out where Romeo was. If the feud did not exists, then the Capulets and Montaques would not have anything to fight about. Because of the tension between the two families, Romeo and Juliet had to keep their marriage and their love for each other hidden from their families. Since Lord Capulet did not know about the marriage between Romeo and his daughter, so he told Paris, "Sir Paris, I will make a desperate tender of my child's love: I think she will be ruled in all respects by me; nay, more, I doubt it not..."(Act III Scene IV). When Juliet heard about the marriage between her and Paris, she was upset and asked Friar Laurence for help. Friar Laurence came up with a plan and gave Juliet a sleeping potion that would make her look like she was dead. This plan goes wrong because Romeo never got the message about the plan so he actually thought that Juliet was dead. Romeo, later, killed himself with poison next to Juliet. Then, Juliet woke up and saw Romeo's body and ended up killing herself with a dagger next to Romeo's body.
Hatfields and McCoys
Just like in the story of Romeo and Juliet, the feud causes everything to go wrong in the story of the "Hatfields and McCoys." The feud causes fights between the two families. There were people from both families who also died. This story resembles the story of "Romeo and Juliet" because there is a feud that starts everything, the feud is between two families, and people from both families died throughout the story.
Lion King 2
Even though this is about lions, this movie resembles the story of "Romeo & Juliet". The conflict in the movie starts with a feud that happened a in the first movie. Two families of lions hate each other. One family was banished from the pride lands, while the other live on pride rock. The two families resemble the Capulet family and the Montaque family. In the beginning of the movie two young lions fall in love with each other and the lioness is from the family that lives on pride rock. The young lion is from the family that lives in the waste lands. These two lions resemble Romeo and Juliet. In the end of the story the two lions make their families see that they are all the same and that there is nothing to fight about, so the both families now live on pride rock together.
