A strong mood involving sadness, discouragement, despair, or hopelessness that lasts for weeks, months, or even longer

People with depression might have feelings of worthlessness or inner pain. This causes eating disorders, self harming, a bad mood, or even physical body aches and pains.

  • Doctors can check for conditions related to depression
  • Talk to counselors who are professionals at diagnosing and curing mental health issues
  • Psychologists and psychiatrists can diagnose depression

Treatment of Depression

Depression can be treated by talking to a therapist, taking medication, daily exercise, exposure to daylight, eating right, and a good night's sleep. Most importantly, you can talk to your friends and family for support
