Campus Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) for 16-17

1. An average of 90% or more of our K - 5th grade students will read at or above grade level by the end of the 16-17 school year as measured by end of year DRA.

2. Increase the overall student attendance rate from 96.7% to 96.8% for the 16-17 school year.

3. In Cypress classrooms, we will directly connect the 7 habits to student academic, personal and community success at least 2,500 times from October - June of the 16-17 school year.

This Week at Cypress

National School Bus Week - Please thank our bus drivers for all they do for our children.

7 Habit Focus this Week: Circle of Control ~ What do I have control over? What are things I cannot control?

  • Activity Idea: Draw 1 circle inside another and have students come up with examples of what is in their circle of control and what is not. List the examples of what is within their control inside the smaller, internal circle. List the items of what is not in their control in the larger outer circle.
