Torrey Hill Intermediate School
June 2021
We Made It! Summer Packets Are Coming Home Soon!
Dear Torrey Hill Intermediate School Families,
We made it! Thank you for taking part in our journey. We know the year has been filled with twists and turns and ups and downs. Overall, we should ALL take time to pause, reflect and pat ourselves on the back for persevering. Great work! : )
ALL students will be receiving a Summer Packet this year, unlike years past, when we had them available only "upon request." The packets will be coming home within the next few days and all students are encouraged to complete at least 50% of the packet by the first day of school next fall. The concepts within the packet are meant to be a review of the current year's content.
Students simply need to return the packets during the first week of school and their names will be entered into a drawing to win one of MANY prizes. Thanks in advance, to our PTO, for being constant supporters of our Summer Packet project.
Finally, spending time and making effort to work on the packet will help fill in "learning gaps" possibly experienced during our unforgettable 2020-21 school year.
Respectfully,
Mrs. K. Conover
Principal, Torrey Hill Intermediate School
Thank you for the pet supplies/donations! Some of our NEHS students and advisors, Mrs. Garmyn and Ms. Piper are featured above.

CHROMEBOOK TURN IN
Here are a few things we would like you to know regarding Chromebook drop off:
- Wednesday, June 9th all face to face students will drop off their devices and chargers to their teacher.
- Thursday, June 10th, Tuesday and Thursday blended students will return their devices to their teachers. Remote students and Monday/Wednesday students can drop off their devices at the Torrey Hill main office during office hours 7:00am-12:30pm.
- Thursday, June 10th, families who were unable to return devices on the above dates can drop off at the main entrance of the Middle School from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Note: The Torrey Hill office will be closed at 12:30 PM on 06/10/21.
All students must remove any cases, USB mouse fobs, keyboard covers, or any other personal items prior to drop off. We will be inspecting each device. If there is billable damage per the 1:1 Chromebook agreement, you will be notified.
Regarding district- provided hotspots, there are many families that have multiple students in different buildings that are using a hotspot. Because of this, we ask that the oldest of the families bring in the hotspot to their respective building so there is no confusion between teachers and buildings. We understand that there are HS seniors that are returning their devices early. If that is the case, the second oldest child of those families will return the hotspot.
